"Monash City Football Club was originally formed in 1997 as the Monash City Junior Soccer Club out of the ashes of Oakleigh United Soccer Club. The focus of the club was to develop young boys into outstanding footballers and over the years the club has developed a reputation as a strong junior club.

Recently we changed the name of the club to Monash City Football Club to reflect the growing trend to refer to the game as football. We have also removed the reference to “junior” as we hope to field more senior teams in the coming years.

The club boasts a proud tradition of developing boys and girls through our Goalkick, Small Sided Football and Junior programs. We are also currently fielding a Men’s Masters team and hope in the future to add more senior teams to our club.

Monash City Football Club has a long tradition of fielding competitive teams throughout every age group and have enjoyed success both locally and regionally. In 2009 this culminated in the club’s U15 team representing Victoria in the Manchester United Premier Cup at the Pacific Finals.

Throughout its short history Monash City has won numerous pennants throughout all the age divisions. Even more important to winning though the Club is committed to developing and educating junior players to reach their highest potential. Our vision is to be recognised as the premier football club in Melbourne, where players are committed to exceling in the game of football, have the opportunity to grow in an optimal learning environment, with quality coaches, training facilities and support available.

Our club colours, black and red stripes, resemble that of AC Milan from Italy.

We believe that as a club also have the responsibility to promote the game of football and encourage the participation amongst both sub junior and junior boys and especially girls through the means of competitive teams, and that’s why every boy or girl that registers at the club is welcomed.

We have access to two wonderful grounds, Caloola Reserve, Oakleigh and Argyle Reserve, Hughesdale (where we also have access to an indoor football facility for training indoors).

During this time the club has come up with some fantastic ideas and innovative plans to ensure the strength of the club continues long in to the future.

One of the main areas the club was looking to improve on was the way in which it was currently communicating with its players, members, supporters and sponsors.

With a forward thinking and a dynamic board the club was actively pursuing different methods which would enable them to improve on their existing communication channels.

After conducting a review of all the options available to them the club is pleased to announce the release of their first ever native mobile phone app for the iPhone.

The app will be branded in the famous red and black of the Monash City Football Club and the content available to users in the app will contain information about the club.
